The Präerhütte by Fam. Saller is located at around 1830m in the beautiful area of ??the Gadaunerer Hochalmen - a sunny mountain plateau high above the Angertal in Bad Hofgastein. The rustic and cozy alpine hut offers a wonderful view, the products produced from our own agriculture, such as farmhouse bread, alpine butter, various types of alpine cheese, bacon, juices and brandy from the house, taste particularly good here.
There are several ways to get to the Präerhütte, e.g. via the Hermann-Kreilingersteig in about 2 to 2.5 hours. Here you go from the Kleine Scharte Schlossalm mountain station past the reservoir to the Kaserebenbahn mountain station, continue over the Kreilingersteig to the Rockfeldalm and then on to the Präeralm.
Alternatively, you can walk in about 2 hours from the "Lackenbauer", who is located in front of the Angertal ski center on the Angertalstrasse, along the partly steep forest path via Nösslach, past the Thaler-Mahder hut and then a short but steep climb up to to the alpine hut.
And there are also two options from the Angertal ski center parking lot: via the "Wolfstall" in a shorter but steep path in about 2 hours or via the Waldgasthof Angertal along the forest path to the Gadaunerer Hochalmen, here it takes appx. 2.5 to 3 hours of walking - this is also the official route for mountain bikers.
