Starting at the "Grüner Baum" and past the "Himmelwandhütte" through the wonderful forest trail, turn right over the "Jägersteig" to Reedsee (1831m). The sight of the wonderful mountain lake with cristal clear water leaves the sweat of the last hour forgotten. There is rest here and the snack brought along, since the Reedsee does not have a farmed alpine hut. Afterwards you will pass the "Palfnerscharte" (2320m) past the "Palfnersee" to the Graukogellift, with the possibility to stop at the Graukogelhütte. Downhill to Bad Gastein with the Graukogellift.
Depending on the weather and physical condition of the participants, there is the possibility to return from the Reedsee on the same route back to the valley, which is a simpler variant compared to the "Palfnerscharte".
