The alpine hut "Neudeggalm" - also known as "Neudegg Heimalm" - is located on approx. 1430m in the Leidalm area of Bad Hofgastein. The fresh products such as milk, cheese, farmers' bread, bacon or sausages come from own production, of course there are also self-made schnapps. The daily fresh specials are considered an insider tip.
The children feel especially at the small playgrstream and the petting animals well.
This alpine-hut is easy to reach, eg by car to the Brandnerhof in Wieden, from here walking in about 1,5 hours along the forest path, which is used as a toboggan run in winter, to a signposted turnoff to the right to the Neudeggalm.
Or you can take the Schlossalmbahn to the middle station and walk over an almost level hiking trail in about 40 minutes to the Neudeggalm.
Also from the mountain station Kleine Scharte you can walk about 2 hours over the Brandner Hochalm to the Neudeggalm downhill, this path is the most difficult variant.
