The 2018 newly renovated Alpengasthaus Bärsteinalm is located at 1300m near the middle station Schlossalmbahn Bad Hofgastein. Both in winter for skiers, as well as for hikers in the summer months, the Bärsteinalm is ideally located for a rest - with a rustic atmosphere and a beautiful panoramic terrace.
In addition to daily daily recommendations, there is an extensive menu with Austrian home cooking, soups, salads and much more, of course, coffee and sweets.
The Bärsteinalm is easy to reach: eg with the Schlossalmbahn to the middle station and from here in a few minutes (about 250m) to the Alpengasthaus. Or from the direction Angertal Lackenbauer in about 1 hour along the forest road. Also from the mountain station Schlossalmbahn you can walk to the Bärsteinalm in about 2.5 hours, or also from the valley via forest and forest roads.
In winter, the family run H9 leads directly the Bärsteinalm.
